Isabelle Roig is an artist, writer, and photographer raised in the Ozarks and currently based in St. Louis, MO. She studied Film & Media and Writing at Washington University in St. Louis, where she completed her MA in 2024 and BA in 2021.

Roig’s visual art explores the connection between mental health, intimacy, and the natural world, and is rooted in an intuitive process. Her visual practice is heavily influenced by her upbringing as a dancer; somatic movement shapes her visual language, characterizing her portfolio with a distinctly visceral abstraction.

She began photography in 2018, and since has partnered with artists regionally and internationally for editorial and commercial campaigns. Roig’s domain is portraiture in action, assuming a uniquely conversational approach with her subjects to foreground their character and integrity to their brand.
